We have always needed Dr. Nelson Rolinhlanhla Mandela - his wisdom, his affection, his vibes, his aura and more...
We have been praying for him for weeks. Let's show it to him while he is still among us for tomorrow may be too late.
Please sign this get well card for his honor.
I invite you to take part to this campaign because I believe every human being should be given the opportunity to do something good in life. Dr. Nelson Rolinhlanhla Mandela is a man who, like a samurai warrior, managed to defy imminent death by hanging, saying:
"During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons will live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for. But, my lord, if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."
He thus spent 27 years of his life, far from family & friends, far from personal interests, for the freedom of both the oppressor (the then powerful White Apartheid regime) & the oppressed (the Black).
This is the same man who, after 27 years of torture in Robben Island prison, chose reconciliation instead of revenge & said to himself a sentence that led his exemplary life after prison:
"As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison."
He is also the man who enriched human conscience with the an appeal to responsibility from the part of all those who have gone the way of revolution for the sake of freedom. On that he said:
"I have walked that long road to freedom. I have tried not to falter; I have made missteps along the way. But I have discovered the secret that after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance I have come. But I can rest only for a moment, for with freedom comes responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not yet ended."
Thank you all.
