Wolves have NOT made a full recovery, nor can they as humans have set them on a sure path to extinction as governors from Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming, Wisconsin and Montana seek to push the federal government to get the wolf off of the endangered species list in the special interest of hunters.
Their natural habitat is dwindling though human land use which includes ranchers and cattle grazing, real estate developers, logging, mining and oil drilling. Their natural food source has been disrupted through poisioning and hunting of their natural prey. Not even mentioning what the BLM has done to decimate the wild horse population (another food source for the wolf).
